Church Investigation (Unreleased to Public)

By the testimony of many witnesses, the Special Committee of Vision Baptist Church has determined under the guidance of 1 Timothy 5:19-21, Austin Gardner does not meet the qualifications for an Elder at this time. This is by evidence and expression of:

1. Unkind and disdainful speech regarding members of the VBC congregation, missionaries, pastors of other churches, and other ministers of the gospel.
2. Being given to fits of anger and outburst when challenged, or the perception of challenge. Lack of sincerity or lasting repentance when confronted.
3. Failure to fulfill, as stated in the church covenant, the commitment to be "exemplary in our deportment, to avoid all tattling, backbiting, and excessive anger."
4. Deception to the church regarding missionary readiness to enter the field and the full disclosure for why they left.
5. Corrupt communication and violation of confidence in regard to counseling and other private matters.
